Norman Eugene Mosher, son of Norman C. and Susan Brewer Mosher, was married first to Minnie Allice Brewer on August 8, 1881 in Chariton County, MO. This marriage ended in divorce between 1890 and 1900. He was married second to Maggie Lee Davis on July 22, 1900 in Salisbury, Chariton County,IL. He was the father of the following children by his first wife: Lena Pearl (1882-1957); Nellie (1886-1944); Arthur Eugene (1888-1974). He was the father of the following children by his second wife: Infant boy (twin died at birth 1902); Norman Eugene, Jr. (1902-1981); and Mazie Fern (1907-1994). When he moved from Chariton County, MO to Lincoln County, CO, he located on a ranch which he purchased three miles southeast of Hugo. During the early years in Lincoln County he was enthusiastic in the development of new enterprises, being one of the first to advocate pump irrigation in the Big Sandy valley and also in the raising of upland alfalfa, having several hundred acres in cultivation on his ranch. For years he carried on an extensive cattle and hog business and shipped thousands of head of cattle and hogs from his ranch. For years he raised pure-bred Hampshire Hogs. At one time he was engaged in the real estate business and was associated with Dan Wilson, his office being on the site of the Hugo Service Station. He was one of the active participants in organizing and maintaining the Lincoln County Fair and for a number of years served as its president. He was a member of the Baptist church in Salisbury and a member of the Methodist church in Hugo after his move to Lincoln County. He was a devout church member and regular attendant when his health permitted. He was an active officer of the church.
