NameLifespanWhere Born
William COOK IAbt 1700-aft 1750England, United Kingdom
Additional NotesMigration Steps
William Cook I was probably born about 1700 and married Anne Griffin (Griffith). From an account written on a fly leaf of an old family bible it states that William enigrated from England. They raised one son William II, born about 1725, married Margaret Jones about 1750 in Lunenburg County, VA, and died about 1784 in Franklin County, KY. There is speculation that William Cook II may have had a brother John Cook. We do not know the ship that William Cook I traveled on or port of entry. On a tithable list for 1750 in Lunenburg County there are two William Cook's that appear to be living at the same address. This could have been William Cook I and William Cook II. to VA in aft 1700
to Lunenburg County, VA in Abt. 1750
