Hezikiah started out in Simsbury, Hartford County, Conneticutt place of his birth. Moving with his father Amaziah Barber and Sibling brothers Abijah, Augustus F., George, Amaziah Jr. and John. They made it too Huron County February of 1817. Amaziah died in 1834 Townsend Township, Huron County, Ohio and his sons had moved north to Michigan for a new start. Hezikiah was pretty tight with his brrother Abijah and they moved just about every where with each other dragging along there families along the way. Hezikiah had stopped along the way after fathers death in Ruggles, but could not find anything that was satisfying to the needs of the pioneer so he left for Michigan with his brother Abijah Barber. They reached Camden, Hillsdale County, Michigan around 1837. Where they stayed until they parted ways Abijah left for Reading, Hillsdale County, Michigan where he raised his family and died July 5, 1854. And Hezikiah left for Algansee, Branch County, MIchigan with his new wife and the rest of his family where he settled, was a Baptist preacher, and died. Buried in the Lake View Cemetery with both his 1st wife Ruth (Dewey) Barber and 2nd wife Mary. to Delaware County, NY in Abt. 1797
