Dempsey and Delilah Emmons Odum were married 1833 in Tennessee . Martin Emmons born 1808 ,Griffin Emmons born 1811 and Daniel Emmons born 1813 , brothers of Delilah , all left Tennessee and arrived in Ripley County Missouri in time to be enumerated on the 1840 census. Ripley County Missouri is the resting place of these family members as well as many children and grandchildren. The Emmons Cemetery and The Old Odom Place Cemetery are both located in Ripley County Missouri along the banks of the Little Black River. to Ripley County, MO in 1837-1839
