Abel Riley Humphrey anf family followed the Brooks\' to Wisconsin to help his daughter during the period of time her husband George Brooks was in the military at the beginning of the Civil war. Thomas Peel also came to Wisconsin before 1860. Peel and Brooks obtained land grant together in 1857 of 80 acre each. Peel moved to Frankfort, Wisconsin prior to 1860 from where I do not know and later to Waterville, Wisconsin close by the Brooks and Humphreys. Do not know if Thomas Peel was a relative to the Brooks family or not. to Auburn, Cayuga County, NY in 1845
