August came to the US in 1868 at the age of abt 6 years. He settled with his family in Granville Wisconsin. After his marriage His farm was burnt to the ground and he set out to find a new place to settle. after about a year of searching and saving he and his family settled in Sioux County Iowa.		to Granville, Milwaukee County, WI in 1868 to Grant Township, Sioux Coounty, IA in abt 1891
