Additional NotesMigration Steps
Isaac Sharp took the Oath of Alliegence in 1777 in Shephardtown, Berkeley County, PA. He married Mary Wo(o)lverton in 1777. They migrated to what was then Yogohania County, VA./Westmoreland County, PA. This was the disputed part of that area. The boundary dispute was settled and Washington County, PA was erected; and later Greene County, PA. was separated from Washington County, PA. Yohogania County, Virginia was united with Ohio County, VA. Thus, Isaac was living in the sameplace but the boundary changed. Isaac and Mary had 13 children: John, Thomas, Abigail, Mary, Rebecca, William, Isaac, Rachel, Margaret, Darby Wolverton, Zachariah, Tabitha, and Manean. Isaac was a teachr and followed the surveying trade in Washington and Greene Counties of PA. He is referred to as ^Old Master Sharp^ in several records. All records of the children's births are taken from Isaac's Bible, written in his own hand. His Oath is from the document. Migration records are from BEERS, census, marriage record and N.J. Archieves, and a letter written by his Mother, Mary (?) Sharp, Wilson. to NJ in 1771
to Shepherdtown, Berkeley County, VA now WV in 1776
to Waynesburg, Green County, PA in 1777
to Washington County, PA in Aft 1800
