James Cummins or Cummings, migrated from Ireland, probably with some of his brothers and/or sisters, sometime between 1873 and 1880. In the 1880 census he was living with his sister, Mrs. Bridget Dooriss in Providence RI. In 1881, James probably moved with Bridget, sisters Mrs. Annie (James) Henderson and Mrs. Ellen (Thomas) Mahon, and brothers George and Lawrence, to Manhattan. In the obituary of his brother Patrick in Fall River MA in 1908, James was listed as a survivor with no residence given. In the 1922 obituary of his brother Michael in Fall River, James was not listed as a survivor. We are looking for any info or clues to James whereabouts, whether he had a wife or family.
