Francis M Hughes married Sarah Adeline Johnson in 1870 in Hamilton County, Illinois. All children born in Illinois. Moved to Ripley County with children, in 1900 and 1910 census. His widow in the 1920 census with son James who never married.Children; Charles, Noble, Minerva C, Joe Raymond, James, Iva. 1880 census in Flannagon Township, Hamilton County, Illinois list Marion, Sarah, Iva, and James. He died in Ripley County by a gunshot wound in the head from a dispute with a neightbor.		to Ripley County, MO in aft 1880
