This day [Sebastian Bott] a native of [Germany] personally appeared before the JEFFERSON CIRCUIT COURT (It being a court of record having common law jurisdiction and a clerk and seal), and exhibited to the court the record of having declared his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, in [{illegible} Ct Lou Ky] on the [25] day of [June] in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and [57]
Whereupon [Frank Bott] a citizen of the United States of America, came personally into court and made oath that the said [Sebastian Bott] had resided within the United States of America for five years last past and within the State of Kentucky for one year last past; that he was a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the constitution and form of government of the United States of America and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
And thereupon the said [Sebastian Bott] declared on oath, in open court, that he would well and truly support the Constitution of the United States of America, and that he did forever absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any and every foreign prince, potentate, State and sovereignty whatever, and particularly to [Emperor of Germany] to [whom] he has hitherto owed allegiance.
It is therefore ordered that said [Sebastian Bott] be, and be hereby admitted and declared to be a citizen of the United States of America.

Sebastian Bott, Jr. died on November 16, 1903 of Brights Disease, aged 67 Years. He was a White male and was married. He was born in Germany in 1836 and was a retired Brewer. He lived in Ward 11 of Louisville at 1621 18th St. He was buried on 19 Nov 1903 in Portland Cemetery.

Alter deutscher Bürger vom Tode abrufen.
Gestern Nachmittag halb sechs Uhr verschied im Alter von 67 Jahren ein alter, allgemein verehrter deutscher Bürger in der Person des Herrn Sebastian Bott. Der Verstorbene was aus Hörstein in Unterfranken, Bayern, gebürtig und hinterläßt seine Gattin, Catharine Bott, sowie sechs Kinder, drei Söhne, Frank, Sebastian und Georg, und drei Töchter, die Frauen Minnie Ochs, Theresa Diebold und Elisabeth Eveslage. Früher was er der Besitzer der Brauerei an der Achtzehnten und Lexingtonstraße. Herr Bott besaß hier zahllose Freunde und Bekannte, welche die Kunde seines Ablebens mit tiefster Trauer erfüllen wird. Sein Leichenbegängniß erfolgt Donnerstag früh halb 9 Uhr vom Trauerhause, Achtzehnte Straße No. 1621, und um 9 Uhr von der St. Peters-Kirche aus auf dem Portland-Friedhofe. Er möge in Frieden ruhen!

Bott: brother of Frank and George Bott, Mrs. Andrew Diebold, Mrs. Minnie Ochs, Mrs. Lizzie Eveslage and Mrs. August Raidt. Funeral Tuesday morning, December 26, at 9 o'clock from the Bosse Funeral Home. 600 E. Broadway, and 9:30 at St. Aloysius Church. Interment in Resthaven Cemetery.
He was hit by a car crossing the street in front of his house and died at the hospital.

Obituary: Stanley C. Bott, 77, of Episcopal Church Home, died there Wednesday.
He was a retired self-employed general contractor.
Survivors: two sons, Ralph E. Bott of Clarksville and Ron C. Bott of Boca Raton, Fla.; a daughter, Janis K. Fowler; a brother, Jack Bott; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
