Thanks for your offer. I don't have much to add right now as I'm just
backtracking into the European portion of this line. We have a written
family history which indicates our Trapp family is from Horstein,
Bavaria, and gives the following:

Johann Trapp m Katherine (?) (Katherine died abt 1860)
Children: Joseph - b. 1856 (abt) d. 1923 in St. Joseph, MO

Johann then married Margaret and had the following children:

Joseph came to the United States in 1880 visiting cousins in
Philadelphia and remaining there until June, 1881, where it shows he
went to St. Joseph and worked for the M.K.T.R.R. The record book also
indicates Johann came to the U.S. in 1888 with Margaret, Thekla and
Johann Frederick. They are all buried in St. Joseph in Mt. Olivet
Cemetery. Their church was the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

At this point, I have been trying to verify the Horstein connection, and
seeing your listing with Trapps was a good sign. I would appreciate any
information you could share with regard to a possible connection, and I
will then make haste to the local FHC.
