It seems flimsy to me that he would be born in 1706 and confirmed in 1708. There was a Johann Peter Reusing, son of Georg Paul Reusing who was confirmed in 1708. Georg Paul was not married until 1701. There was a Johann Peter Reusing who died in 1757 aged 51 years. There was also a Peter Reusing (possible Johann??) who was married to Margaretha ?, a widow who died in 1762. A marriage record for Johann Peter and Margaretha Reusing would do a world of good. There was also a Peter Reusing (no Johann???) who was born in 1708, son of Johann Konrad Reusing. This really throws things into disarray.

REISING, John F., suddenly Sunday April 8, 1951 at his residence, 1819 Dixdale Ave., in his 60th year. beloved husband of Kathryn Reising (nee Prentice); brother of Mrs. Louise Oakley, Mrs. Amelia Reeves. Funeral Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Carl E. Herbold and Horlander Funeral Home, 20th and Broadway and 9 o'clock at St. George Church. Interment in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Mr. Reising was the Judge Advocate of the Louisville Chapter, Number 6, D.A.V. and a member of Iroquois Post Americam Legion. All veteran organizations please attend funeral.

John F. Reising
The funeral of John F. Reising, 59, circulation manager of the old Herald-Post, will be at 9 a.m. today at St. George Church. Burial will be in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. he died Sunday night at his home, 1819 Dicdale.
Reising worked for several years in the circulation department of the Courier-Journal and The Louisville Times, Recently he had been employed as a clerk for the American Radiator and Standard Sanitary Corporation. He was a veteran of World war I and a member of Iroquois Post American Legion. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Prestice Reising, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Oakley and Mrs. Ameria Reeves. Parents: Samuel REISING and Gesche SIEVERS.
