Death of Adam Reising
Adam Reising died at his home at Palmyra, on Tuesday, November 5th, of pulmonary trouble. He had been ailing about one year or more, but was confined to bed but seven weeks. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Bradford on Thursday last at ten o'clock a.m. conducted by Father Donohue, and the remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery near by.
The deceased was sixty-nine years old and never married. He was born in Germany and came to this country when ten years of age .
He lived at Palmyra since 1866 and had been engaged in the manufacture of brooms all this time. He leaves one brother, N. R. Reising who lives near Corydon and two sisters, Mrs. George Kiesler, of Morgan Township, and Mrs. Mary Sehr, of New Albany.
"Uncle" Adam was a quiet, inoffensive man, and had a large circle of friends. He was honest and industrious and commanded the respect of all who knew him. Parents: John REISING and Eva REISING.
